Nothing announced the Headphone (1) Pro ($399), featuring a triple-driver setup with a solid-state xMEMS driver, Bluetooth 6.1 with Auracast support, and high-res wired options via USB-C and 3.5mm analog input.
Comfort is improved over the previous model, with ear cushions that are 50% softer, the headband is 10% wider, and the padding is 12% thicker. The hard carrying case covers only the headphones, leaving the headband exposed.
Sound design and features
Each earbud features three different speakers: a 40mm bass driver, a mid- and low-high frequency driver, and a dedicated high-frequency driver. The frequency response ranges from 20Hz to 40kHz.
The battery lasts up to 68 hours with AAC and noise cancellation turned off, while the battery life drops to 30 hours with noise cancellation on. A five-minute charge provides four hours of playback without noise cancellation or two hours with it, while a full charge takes about two hours.
The physical buttons include a wheel for volume and playback, a lever for changing tracks, a button for voice assistant, an equalizer switch, a Bluetooth button, and a sliding power switch.
Connectivity and application
The headphones connect via Bluetooth 6.1 with support for various audio codecs and the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously. They also support streaming and receiving audio via the Nothing X app.
