Pulsar 1.133 is now available, featuring clickable terminal links with previews via OSC 8 and shell integration folder tracking for Bash, Zsh, Fish, and PowerShell.
This release refactors file watching into a separate process, upgrades the editor to Electron 32.3.3, and updates the package manager to Node.js 20.18.1.
Improvements to the built-in terminal
The update brings significant additions to the program's terminal. Links are now supported, allowing active addresses to be displayed with a destination preview when users hover over them.
The terminal also gained folder tracking through integration with popular shell environments like Bash, Zsh, Fish, and PowerShell. When users change folders, the tab is automatically updated, and new window splits inherit the current folder.
Additionally, file paths in terminal output become active, allowing users to open files directly from commands. On Linux and Windows systems, the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+V for copy and paste have also been added.
New file tracking architecture
In the area of performance, the developers fixed a code coloring issue that had existed since version 1.127.

Pulsar 1.133 also introduces a redesigned way to watch files, adding an option for @parcel/watcher in addition to nsfw. The file watcher now runs in a separate process instead of the main application. nsfw remains the default and users can change options without rebooting.
At the same time, the program distinguishes files that have been deleted externally from those that have simply been modified, while a setting has been added to disable warnings when closing deleted files without changes.
Infrastructure updates and future plans
The processor has been upgraded to Electron version 32.3.3. This version is the last to offer support for the macOS 10.15 Catalina operating system. The next version 1.134 will move to Electron 37 and bring native Wayland support to Linux without any additional configuration.
The update includes even better code coloring for Python template strings, Perl class syntax, and C#, fixes for rare crashes related to file tracking and Git connection, as well as an update to the package manager to Node.js 20.18.1 with bug and security fixes.
