Gods Don’t Give Gifts is a feature-length film created entirely with AI.
This article covers the project’s creator, Zack London (YouTuber Gossip Goblin), its producers Edward Saatchi and Fable, and its planned limited US and UK release on 4 December 2026.
Deadline reports that the film is aiming for an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature.
Production and promotion
The film is being produced by Edward Saatchi and Fable, an artificial intelligence company funded by Amazon. The film premiered in September 2026 at the Venice Film Festival Market.
The trailer is already available. Posters are being placed in cinemas and an outdoor advertising campaign is expected to begin in November. The producers are also preparing an Oscar campaign, which will include special screenings for Academy members. Saatchi wants the film to be the “Toy Story” of its generation, with a dark, satirical look at fears about artificial intelligence and the future of humanity.
"Gods Don't Give Gifts" is, according to the report, the first film created with AI to receive an R rating from the MPA.
The case
It is a science fiction and horror animation with a dark, psychedelic aesthetic. The action takes place in the dystopian "Second Cycle of Humanity", an era in which the rapid progress of transhumanism has transformed human nature and social organization.
So far, no distribution has been announced in Greece. The known screenings concern the US and the UK.
