MSP360 supports custom backup schedules, including different frequencies for individual jobs.
Its free edition covers one computer and 5 TB of backups, but does not support full-system backups or web-console management.
Backups can run daily or every few minutes; continuous change tracking is not available.
The available programs
The free version covers one computer and up to 5 TB of backups. This is an increase from the 200 GB included in the previous review. The program cannot back up an entire computer and is managed only from the desktop app. The web console is available in a higher plan.
The standalone plan offers 5TB of backups for five devices, unlimited local disk backup space, and the ability to back up an entire computer. The Windows license starts at $29,99 per year. Server, Mac, and Linux options cost more. The plan does not include remote management.
For businesses with five or more devices, there's MSP360 Managed Backup. It offers web-based management and mobile apps. It costs $2,50 per computer per month, with a minimum charge of $30 per month.

You can schedule backups every day or every few minutes. The service doesn't constantly record every change. You can also set a different backup schedule for each project. Initially, backups are kept for 30 days, but the period can be changed to six months or a year.
MSP360 sends emails when each copy is complete. If you don't want these notifications, you can turn them off from the app.
Restore files
You can start the restore immediately or schedule it for later. You choose the backup plan and version you want, based on the time it was created. You can also specify where the files will be saved and whether they will overwrite existing ones.
You cannot select just one file or folder: you must restore the entire corresponding backup plan. The web console allows you to manage backups and initiate restores remotely.
The MSP360 Control app for Android and iOS allows you to manage and create backup plans from your mobile device. It can also generate two-step verification codes. However, it cannot back up the mobile device itself or download files to it.
Protection and restrictions
Files are protected in a way that prevents them from being read without the appropriate key. The service also offers two-step login verification and can flag or reject access attempts from devices outside the organization.
The review states that MSP360 is GDPR and HIPAA compliant, but its lack of continuous change logging leaves it behind Acronis Cyber Protect.
