Apple has unveiled the new Apple TV 4K, powered by the A19 processor.
The refresh introduces several hardware-level changes, including a built-in microphone array for direct voice input, a remote control with an integrated speaker for improved device tracking, and native support for 4-speaker surround sound configurations.
The unit launches on November 13 at a price point of $299.
Control without remote control
The most notable change is the addition of three microphones on the device. This allows users to give voice commands directly, without having to hold the remote in their hands. Siri has been upgraded to offer more advanced content search and personalized suggestions based on the user's interests.
Upgraded features
Inside the device is the new A19 processor, which is designed to support the new features. Additionally, for those who have a HomePod mini 2 or HomePod 2, there is now the ability to connect for a 4-speaker surround sound experience.
A practical change also concerns the remote control, which now has a built-in speaker. This way, users can more easily locate it if it gets lost around the house.
Availability
Pre-orders for the new Apple TV 4K began on October 13, 2026. The device is expected to be available in stores on November 13, 2026.
