The choice of the name "Tenacious T-Rex" is not accidental, as it coincides with the 23rd anniversary of the release of the first Ubuntu in October 2027. It is the first time in the history of software that a dinosaur has been used as a mascot, but also the first time that the animal's name includes a hyphen.
Tyrannosaurus Rex will be the official face of the publication in the company's promotional material.
