Spotify now supports Siri audio requests without requiring users to say “on Spotify.” On iPhone 15 Pro or newer devices running iOS 27, users can request specific content, search their Spotify library, and invoke features such as My DJ.
Availability excludes the European Union.
Users can request a specific song, album, podcast or audiobook, or something more general, like music for exercise. They can also request Spotify features like “My DJ,” hear personalized recommendations, or continue a podcast.
Siri can even search for content in the user's Spotify library or create a playlist with the Prompted Playlist feature, which uses artificial intelligence.
According to Spotify, Siri can learn which music app a user prefers. If the user consistently uses Spotify, Siri will automatically direct audio requests there. Spotify announced the new feature on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
