In addition, the new model allows the wireless connection of up to four of the company's smart speakers to create a full surround sound environment, when the older model was limited to simple stereo sound.
Software and release date
Despite the differences in hardware, both the new and previous 2022 models will support upcoming artificial intelligence features and live captions when upgraded to the appropriate software and connected to compatible phones or tablets.
