Hi, I'm Vasiliy. This is a story about turning constraints into a system — and building something that matters.
The Beginning: Curiosity, Setbacks, Reinvention
Years ago, my brother and I started exploring trading — first stocks, then forex. We were curious, excited, and honestly… a bit naive. We tried joining a prop firm. It didn't work out. Life moved on. Or so I thought.
Then came a season of health challenges. No, it wasn't caused by trading — just life doing its unpredictable thing. But it changed my relationship with time, screens, and control.
Suddenly, I had something I'd never had before: long evenings alone with a terminal, and space to think deeply.
So I did what felt natural: I returned to technical analysis. Not as a hobby this time — as a necessity.
The Constraint That Became a Catalyst
Here's the reality: when your energy is limited, you can't scalp manually. You can't react to every candle. You can't afford emotional trades.
So I turned to code.
If I couldn't trade with my hands, I'd trade with systems. Bots would execute while I rested. Algorithms would enforce discipline when willpower faded.
And yes — the bots kept trading while I wrote this sentence. =)
The Discovery: Content × Crypto × Code = A New Kind of Education
Today, I'm building Market Lab Academy — an educational platform about crypto trading built on three pillars:
Trading wisdom — earned through study, losses, and iteration
Story-driven content — teaching through dialogue, not dogma
Practical engineering — Astro blogs, Python bots, n8n workflows, GitHub automation
This isn't just about passive income (though, let's be honest, that's a nice side effect). It's about creating a learning system that scales — for me, and hopefully for others too.
The Twist: Meet the First Members of the Market Lab Team
I didn't want to build another trading blog full of "5 indicators you must know" and "10 tips for beginners."
So I created a team of distinct personas, each representing a different approach to the markets. Let me introduce the first two:
- Emily — The Lab Leader ☕
"Interesting... what if we look at this from a different angle?"
She's the spark: intuitive, energetic, always testing ideas at 3 AM. Her superpower? Connecting dots others miss. She'll brew the perfect coffee mid-analysis and get genuinely excited when a new pattern "clicks."
Her blind spot: Sometimes she moves before checking the stop-loss.
That's where Kai steps in.
- Kai — The Risk Guardian 👀
"Hold on. Where's the stop-loss? What's our max loss?"
He's the brake: calm, experienced, shaped by past losses. His motto: "I lost $100k so you don't lose $1k." He doesn't say "no" — he asks "how safely?"
If Emily answers correctly:
"Okay, you can proceed. But I'll be watching."
A Real Dialogue (How They Work Together)
This isn't just storytelling. It's a pedagogical system: risk management, analysis, and discipline taught through character-driven dialogue.
The Rest of the Lab (Coming Soon) 🧪
Emily and Kai are just the first two members of the Market Lab team.
Three more voices are in development.
Each will join our conversations when the topic demands their unique perspective:
A new segment on backtesting? → Someone will bring the data.
A live market breakdown? → Someone will test it in real conditions.
A beginner's guide? → Someone will ask the questions you're thinking.
Think of them like modules in a system: they activate when needed.
Or maybe… the lab reactor just needs a little more time to stabilize. 🔋😉
The Tech Behind the Magic
Here's what powers Market Lab:
Astro — Fast, static-site blog (deployed via GitHub Pages)
Python — Trading bots, Telegram automation, backtesting scripts
n8n — Content workflow automation (idea → draft → publish → analyze)
Git/GitHub — Version control, documentation, project tracking (447 contributions in 2026 and counting)
AI tools — Accelerating development, not replacing thinking
TradingView, CryptoQuant and others — Data, charts, on-chain insights
Why I'm Sharing This Publicly
Three reasons:
Learning in public keeps me honest — Building openly creates accountability and invites feedback that makes the system better.
Finding collaborators — If you're into crypto education, automation, or thoughtful content — let's connect.
Proving a point (to myself, mostly) — Constraints don't define your ceiling. Your response to them does.
What's Next
Right now, I'm writing evergreen guides, running backtests, and automating workflows. I'm not a guru. I don't sell signals. I believe knowledge compounds, predictions don't — and that the best way to learn is to build, share, and iterate.
If this resonates, I'd be glad to connect.

And here's a question I keep coming back to: What's a constraint you've turned into a creative advantage?
If you have an answer — or just want to talk systems, bots, or stories — I'm around.
P.S. The bots are still trading while you read this. That's not magic. That's automation. And automation, done right, is a form of freedom.
