Wood feeds Fire. Fire creates Earth. Earth bears Metal. Metal holds Water. Water nourishes Wood. One partner's element generates the other's. There is natural support, encouragement, and flow. Feels like: Being seen, supported, and naturally energized by each other.
2. The Controlling Dynamic (Balance)
Wood covers Earth. Earth dams Water. Water extinguishes Fire. Fire melts Metal. Metal cuts Wood. One partner's element controls the other's. This creates tension but also essential balance. Feels like: A dynamic push-pull that makes both people better.
3. The Resonant Dynamic (Amplification)
Same element meets same element. Two Fire types together can create extraordinary passion -- or mutual burnout. Two Metal types can build an empire of excellence -- or a cold environment. Feels like: Intensity. Everything is magnified.
4. The Weakening Dynamic (Drain)
Fire burns Wood. Earth smothers Fire. Metal exhausts Earth. Water rusts Metal. Wood absorbs Water. One partner's element drains the other's. This requires awareness. Feels like: One person giving more than they receive.
A Note on Incompatibility
BaZi does not doom any relationship. An incompatible elemental match simply means you will need more conscious communication, your natural defaults may clash, and understanding the dynamic gives you a manual for navigating it.
