I have just started my journey in becoming a software engineer at Flatiron School. I was stuck in retail management after graduating from college while trying to pursue a career in marketing. During quarantine, I felt it was a sign for me to look for other options and possibly choose another career path. I came across coding through a friend. At first it all seemed so intimidating to learn but I figured I have nothing to lose and had enough time to dedicate my time to learning to code. I did a lot of research and applied for several coding bootcamp schools. I felt that Flatiron School was the best choice for me after speaking to one of the admissions team members.
I wanted to go into a career path where I was being challenged everyday. I want to feel like I have done something productive and learn a lot of new things at the end of the day. After years of failing to pursue my dream, I believe Flatiron School will give me another chance in finding a stable career. I finally feel hopeful and I’m looking forward to this journey!
