I see Assay as an open source workspace for the new age of agentic development.
The idea is to keep the human in front — not writing every line, but acting more consciously as manager, administrator and orchestrator of the work.
It tries to bring together the tools and information developers already use: coding agents, conversations, tasks, decisions, Git, tests, reviews and project history.
The project is still a bit green, specially around some of the governance parts, but traceability is one of its main goals: understanding not only what changed, but why, when and as part of which task or conversation.
I’ve released version 0.3.0 and I’m very excited to finally share it.
If the idea sounds interesting, I’d love feedback, ideas, bug reports or code contributions. You can also fork it and take it in your own direction — although of course I’d be really happy to see good improvements coming back upstream.
