My Journey in Web Development
π Introduction
Hey, tech enthusiasts! Iβm Manish Pandey (@hmpmanish), a passionate full-stack developer & open-source contributor. My web development journey started as a curiosity, evolved into a skill, and is now shaping into a career! In this post, I'll share how I got started, the challenges I faced, the technologies Iβve learned, and my future roadmap in web development.
π± How It All Began
Like many beginners, I started with HTML & CSS, creating simple static pages. Seeing my first webpage live was a surreal experience! But soon, I realized the need for JavaScript to make my pages interactive. This led me into modern frameworks like React.js and backend development with Node.js.
π‘ Lesson Learned: "Web development is not just about writing code, but about solving real-world problems efficiently!"
π οΈ Tech Stack & Skills Mastered
Over time, Iβve built a solid foundation in both Frontend & Backend technologies:
πΉ Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
πΉ Backend: Node.js, Express.js, Firebase
πΉ Database: MongoDB, MySQL
πΉ Version Control: Git & GitHub
πΉ Other Tools: API Integration, Firebase, WebSockets
π‘ Current Focus: Learning TypeScript, GraphQL, and exploring AI/ML integration with web apps.
π Projects & Real-World Experience
I believe in learning by building, and here are some projects that helped me grow:
1οΈβ£ Dev Portfolio (React.js + Tailwind)
π Features: Dark Mode, Smooth Animations, API-powered Blog Section
π Tech Used: React, Tailwind, Firebase Hosting
π GitHub Repo: Portfolio
2οΈβ£ Real-time Chat App (MERN + WebSockets)
π Features: One-on-one chat, real-time notifications
π Tech Used: React, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Socket.io
3οΈβ£ AI-Powered Blog Generator (Next.js + OpenAI API)
π Features: Auto-generates blog posts using AI prompts
π Tech Used: Next.js, OpenAI API, Tailwind CSS
π‘ Next Project: Building a full-stack SaaS product and contributing more to open source!
π‘ Challenges & Lessons Learned
1οΈβ£ Overcoming Tutorial Hell β Initially, I consumed too many tutorials without building projects. Solution? Started applying knowledge by creating real-world apps.
2οΈβ£ Debugging Skills β The real challenge in coding is debugging and optimizing performance.
3οΈβ£ Time Management β Balancing JEE preparation, school, and coding was tough but helped me build discipline.
π’ Whatβs Next?
β
Learning TypeScript, GraphQL, AI/ML
β
Contributing more to open-source projects
β
Mastering Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) for coding interviews
π My ultimate goal? To become a highly skilled full-stack engineer and build scalable, real-world applications!
