What method do you do when you want to remember app behavior ?

A method I am doing right now is just to write it down on excel

• A bot that check postgres connection and send email alert

I do it this way because it fast and simple, not drawing any thing (because I lazy :) ), but it just a stupid and lazy way, so I want to know what others developer around the world do :D

I use the requirements as code project for that, if it is behavior visible to the user. Specifically, a use case model in combination with requirements as code extract.
