My Story

Hi to anyone reading. My name is Somto.

I am currently in my final semester and I will be graduating on February 1st, 2025.

If I am being completely honest, I just hopped through university without learning how to code. I wasn't involved in any coop work programs or really anything that would make me say, "ahh yes, I am ready to work as a computer-scientist or a programmer". 4 years into my major as a computer science student and It feels like I'm just starting to understand what computer science is.

Although I have a 3.0 gpa, electives made those.

If you read this far, don't worry, all hope is not lost. I think.

For the past 2 month, I've learned HTML, CSS. I also started a C# foundational course. I enrolled in Software engineering 2 as a final course in University and was opportune to join a group of 5 making a card game Combat Critters. I am developing the Desktop UI using C# and the .NET MAUI framework. The first 3 weeks was hard. I have this hosted on GitHub.

I don't know what the future holds but I know I enjoy programming with C# and dotnet. I'll take any Tips, Critics or Advice.

I am currently at my part time job at IKEA writing this so I have to go. I believe this is the start of my computer science career.
