Mycelium Finance ($MYC): Strategy, Liquidity and Supply
Mycelium Finance is a Solana-based project running the "Mycelium Strategy": instead of concentrating its token in one place, it plants $MYC liquidity directly into pools paired with a curated basket of Solana ecosystem tokens across DeFi, RWA, AI, GameFi and Meme sectors. The metaphor is the forest floor's mycelial network — an invisible web connecting trees, here rendered as liquidity pairs connecting $MYC to partner projects. Every swap through one of these pools carries a trading fee of 0.5% to 2.5% (depending on the pool), and Mycelium earns in proportion to its share of each pool's liquidity. Fees get reinvested to deepen existing pools or seed new connections, which the site calls the Mycelium flywheel: connect, earn, reinvest, expand.
The system is genuinely machine-readable. The project ships a public MCP server at https://www.myceliumfinance.com (with free tools for allocation, supply distribution, top performers, token info and faucet info, plus paid x402 tools), and all figures below were pulled live from that server on 2026-10-14.
How the Strategy's liquidity is spread
At the time of measurement the Strategy held about $32,061.44 of liquidity across 12 Solana DEX pools, all on Raydium, spanning 10 partner projects. The spread is deliberately broad — no single project dominates, and the two-token design is visible in the pairings: pools are split between the core $MYC token and $ESF, the project's staking token.
Knots (KNOTS) is the largest position at $6,509.19, or 20.30% of the Strategy, spread over two pools (ESF/KNOTS at $3,552.08 and MYC/KNOTS at $2,957.11). Next come Parcl (PRCL, $4,802.49, 14.98%), Gable (GABLE, $3,487.37, 10.88%), Kintara (KINS, $3,414.20, 10.65%) and Solana itself (SOL, $3,328.94, 10.38%, split between ESF/SOL at $1,996.34 and MYC/SOL at $1,332.60). The tail is made up of Streamflow ($3,003.66, 9.37%), Guacamole ($2,679.50, 8.36%), Daydreams ($2,605.23, 8.13%), JubJub ($2,118.31, 6.61%) and a small USD Coin position ($112.55, 0.35%). Eight of the twelve pools pair the partner with $ESF rather than $MYC, which makes the staking token a meaningful liquidity hub in its own right.
The site says allocation data is refreshed every 60 seconds and is summed live from the DEX pools, so these numbers move — treat them as a snapshot.
Where the $MYC supply sits
Exactly 1,000,000,000 $MYC were minted, and the distribution is unusually transparent because it is read on-chain every five minutes. The majority — 551,045,000 tokens, or 55.10% — sits in a Streamflow time lock, outside circulation. Another 23.23% (232,262,524 $MYC) is unlocked LP liquidity across four pools (MYC/KINS, MYC/KNOTS, MYC/DREAMS on Raydium and MYC/ESF on Orca) that the team can rebalance into new connections. Locked LP liquidity accounts for 14.58% (145,809,283 $MYC, mostly the MYC/ESF Raydium pool). Trading liquidity — $MYC in holder wallets and other pools — is 6.95% (69,487,463), and 1,395,729 tokens (0.14%) have been burned, leaving a current supply of 998,604,271. More than half the supply being time-locked is the project's structural answer to sell-pressure risk, while the 23% in rebalanceable unlocked LP is its growth fuel.
Opportunities and one concrete suggestion
The honest picture: this is a small, early liquidity network — $32K across 12 pools — but its design has a real flywheel logic. Each new partner pool adds another trading route for $MYC, another source of demand, and another fee stream, and the two-token ($MYC + $ESF) structure lets the team route incentives through either token.
One observation worth noting: in the Solana top-performers data the connected projects rank far below the week's winners (Streamflow is pinned at rank 86, Parcl 115, Guacamole 170, Gable 226, Daydreams 227, ESF 229, Knots 237, Kintara 238, while Basic Attention and Starknet led at +78.0% and +59.7% over seven days). Partners are chosen for ecosystem fit, not momentum — a stated design choice, and a genuine tradeoff.
My concrete suggestion: use part of the 23.23% unlocked LP liquidity to seed a MYC/USDC pool. Right now USD Coin is the smallest allocation at just 0.35% ($112.55), so the Strategy has almost no stablecoin route. A deeper $MYC–stablecoin pair would give traders a low-slippage on/off ramp, attract more swap volume (and therefore more fee income), and improve risk management without changing the project's core concept. It is the kind of connection that feeds the flywheel the project describes.
