Spotify Wrapped exists for your music. Your dating life has been collecting receipts for years too - Tinder just doesn't show them to you. I built Tinder Wrapped, a free tool that reads your official Tinder data export and gives you the brutally honest numbers as a shareable card: total swipes, right-swipe rate, match rate, your busiest month, and more.
Everything runs in your browser. Your data never leaves your device - you can read the JavaScript doing the math. Close the tab and it's gone.
How to get your Tinder data export
Tinder is legally required to give you your data (GDPR and friends), and they make it reasonably easy:
- Go to account.tinder.com and log in.
- Find Download My Data and request your export.
- Tinder emails you a download link, usually within a few days.
- Unzip the file. Inside you'll find data.json - that's the file you want.
What to do with it
Drop the data.json file into Tinder Wrapped and it builds your card instantly. If you don't have an export yet, there's sample data so you can see what the card looks like first.
What's inside is genuinely revealing. Most people have no idea how many times they've swiped (tens of thousands is common), what their actual match rate is, or which months they were on the app at 2am the most. The card formats it the way Wrapped does: the good news and the bad news, in pretty type.
Why I built this
I build Matched, a Chrome extension that automates Tinder swiping with human pacing and filters. I've written about what 35,000 automated swipes taught me and what actually gets accounts banned. The same obsession with the numbers behind swiping is why the Wrapped tool exists: if your swipe-to-match ratio hurts, fixing the input (filters, pacing, selectivity) works better than swiping harder.
