The FLAPJAX/WBNB pool on PancakeSwap V3 charges 1% per swap. That single parameter decides whether a position this size is tradable at all, and it is the part most write-ups skip. Below is a liquidity read where every number comes from a call you can repeat yourself — no dashboard screenshots, no price estimates.

Four read-only calls produce everything below: slot0() (0x3850c7bd), liquidity() (0x1a686502), and balanceOf(pool) on each token (0x70a08231). None of them need a key or a signature.
Spot price, derived not quoted
slot0() returned sqrtPriceX96 = 1624719868057956652043500 at tick -215906.
P = (sqrtPriceX96 / 2^96)^2 = 4.205308e-10 WBNB per FLAPJAX
With BNB at $721.00, one FLAPJAX is $3.032e-7. Against a total supply of 44,444,444,444, that puts fully-diluted value at $13,476.
Worth flagging: DexScreener shows priceUsd = 0.0000002994 for the same pool, which implies a BNB reference near $712, while its liquidity.usd of $10,944 implies roughly $792. The two figures on that page disagree by more than 10%. Deriving from slot0 avoids the ambiguity — pick one BNB price and state it.
What is actually sitting in the pool
- 20,118,566,479.59 FLAPJAX (45.27% of total supply)
- 6.9077 WBNB
At spot, the FLAPJAX side is worth about $6,100 and the WBNB side about $4,980. They are not equal, and that is expected: liquidity() reports 3.20678e23 as the in-range liquidity at the current tick, while the balances include positions parked outside the active range. A pool whose reserves and price do not imply each other is not broken — it is concentrated.
Depth is the whole story
Concentrated liquidity means the impact of a trade depends on in-range L, not on the headline balance. Solving sqrtP_new = L / (L/sqrtP_old + Δx) and squaring the ratio:
| Sell size | Price impact (before the 1% fee) |
|---|---|
| $0.25 | -0.011% |
| $1.00 | -0.042% |
| $10.00 | -0.420% |
| $100.00 | -4.09% |
| $500.00 | -18.2% |
| $1,000.00 | -31.8% |
| $5,000.00 | -76.3% |
Add the 1% fee to every row. The shape is the useful part: up to roughly $10 the pool behaves like a deep venue, and past $100 it does not. A $1,000 sell loses about a third of its value to slippage alone. Anyone describing this pair as "liquid" is describing the first row of that table and not the last.
For scale, selling 850,000 FLAPJAX (about $0.26) moves the price by -0.011%. At that size the 1% fee is 90× the slippage.
Volume says the pool is idle
Over the last 24 hours, per DexScreener: $9.28 of volume across 2 buys and 0 sells, with price down 1.04%. Against $10,944 of quoted liquidity that is a turnover of roughly 0.085% per day — one trade every twelve hours, all of it one-directional. Six-hour volume was $2.08 and the last hour was zero.
An idle pool is not automatically a bad pool. It does mean two things concretely:
- Quoted liquidity overstates executable liquidity. You can move a small position at near-spot; you cannot exit a large one without paying for it.
- Price discovery is thin. Two trades moved the price 1%. A third trade of any size sets it.
Limits of this read
- Price impact uses in-range
liquidity()only. It does not walk the tick bitmap, so it is accurate near spot and increasingly optimistic for large sells — the real numbers for the $500+ rows are likely worse, not better. - BNB is taken at $721.00 (Binance
BNBUSDTand CoinbaseBNB-USDagreed within 0.15% at read time). Every USD figure scales linearly with that. - Volume and trade counts are DexScreener's, not derived from
Swaplogs here. I tried pullingSwapevents directly and hit RPC range limits; rather than report a zero I could not substantiate, the external figure is cited as external. - One block, one snapshot. Tick -215906 is where the pool sat at block 128,285,394.
Re-check it
slot0 -> 0x3850c7bd on 0xca93ec685b8623688e6b236f9068034b298c2150
liquidity -> 0x1a686502 same address
balanceOf -> 0x70a08231 + pool address, on each token
If your numbers differ from the table above, the pool moved — not the method.
Disclosure: I hold FLAPJAX and have done paid work for the FlapJax project. This is a liquidity read, not investment advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
