My dilemma as a beginner web dev

As a web developer who has just began creating public projects, I find it hard to come up with ideas that are suitable for mass interest. Basically, I am unsure of what I should create that would show good skill but show a bit of personality as well.

With that being said, I also would like to know of any libraries or languages besides just basic static site skills as many MANY developers have these skills. My questions is how can I stand out as a self-learning frontend web developer?

Find out what your strengths are and responsibly invest your time and energy in sharpening those skills and activities that you relate with your strengths. Ideas will then emerge with time so you also need to be patient. But the investment and patience will pay off as working on your strengths will make it feel natural to you to challenge yourself and eventually stand out as a developer.
