I've started a new project called WikiZEIT. On the code level, it's the Elventy website with a bit of PHP. The code is Open Source and hosted on GitHub.
WikiZEIT is an education umbrella project for everything I do that's related to Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects.
The stuff I do includes:
- Editing Wikipedia articles and Wikidata entries.
- Mentoring newcomers.
- Teaching about Wikipedia (as a WikiTrainer) for Wikimedia Polska and independently.
- Writing tools that help other Wikipedians in editing.
- Documenting Wikipedia events (with my digital camera).
- Publishing my photographs on a Creative Commons license on Wikimedia Commons.
- Participating in the Polish Wikimedia community.
Even though Wikipedia is a central place in my life, in my writing I was focusing mostly on programming. I plan to change that and write more about Wikipedia and the stuff I do related to the Open Knowledge.
I will also write about programming, but in the context of Wikipedia. MediaWiki (the Wikipedia engine) allows extending its functionality by creating scripts. I will write more about this as well.
