# I Built ZipIt ⚡ — Looking for Honest Feedback from Designers & Developers
Hey everyone 👋
I’ve been building ZipIt, a browser-based tool that helps designers and developers instantly extract production-ready assets and design systems from any website.
The idea came from repeatedly switching between multiple tools just to inspect layouts, grab assets, analyze typography, extract colors, or recreate sections in Figma.
So I started building one workflow-focused tool that combines everything together.
What ZipIt Can Do
🎨 Design Mode
- Detect colors, gradients & palettes
- Font detection + alternatives
- Type scale visualization
- Website thumbnail overview
- Extract SVG, PNG, MP4, Lottie assets
🔍 Inspect Mode
- Inspect spacing, layouts & typography
- Export sections/components as clean code
- Copy components directly into Figma
- AI prompt generation for recreating UIs
- Accessibility audits
⚡ Pro Features
- Unlimited exports
- Cloud website crawling
- Full JS bundle extraction
- SEO metadata audits
- Priority asset optimization
The goal is to make reverse engineering, inspiration analysis, and UI recreation dramatically faster for:
- UI/UX designers
- Frontend developers
- Indie hackers
- Agencies
- Growth/product teams
I’d genuinely love feedback from this community:
- What features would make this more useful?
- What feels unnecessary?
- What would stop you from using a tool like this?
- What integrations would you want first?
- Would you use this more for design workflows or dev workflows?
I’m currently refining the UX and product direction, so brutally honest feedback is welcome 🙌
Thanks!
