Use Fiverr to Create Your Freelance Service Offers

Do you want to sell more and be able to charge more for your freelance services?

Have you ever come across a product or service that just felt like it was made for you? You saw it and just HAD to have it? When you did, did you really need to be sold on it?

Probably not.

You knew you wanted it the instant you saw it.

That’s no accident.

A lot of time and research went into that.

And, as a freelancer, the more irresistible the offer you put in front of potential clients, the more you’ll sell those services and the more you’ll be able to charge.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a place you could just get all the answers you needed to figure out what your services and your offers should be in order to be irresistible like this?

There is.

It’s Fiverr.

Fiverr is perfect for doing market research as a freelancer because it’s real-world data and everything is already segmented, packaged and priced for you.

All you really have to do is look.

So, in this post, I’m gonna show you 3 different ways you can use Fiverr to do deep market research and craft compelling service offerings so you can more easily sell your services.

Let’s start with Fiverr feature #1:

The Main Menu

If you’re following along, hover your mouse over the “Graphics & Design” link. When you do, you’ll get a massive list of services that Fiverr believes falls into the graphic design category.

  • Logo design
  • Brand style guides
  • Posters, brochures, flyers
  • Social media design
  • Banners
  • CAR WRAPS

It just lists out all the different niche services you could offer to clients under the umbrella of graphic design, which is a great first step in “productizing” your services… something you should definitely be doing.

So, find the one that fits what you do…

And, use it to figure out the niche services you can offer.

Try to keep it to a max of three core services.

More than that and clients start to get overwhelmed and confused.

And, as the saying goes…

“A confused mind never buys.”

Ok, next is:

Category Listing Pages

So, pick one of the sub-categories we just looked at and click on its link. We’ll continue with our graphic design example and click on “Logo Design” under “Graphics and Design”.

Next, on the “Sort by” dropdown, select “Best Selling”.

This gives us a list of the best selling offers categorized under logo design.

I like this example, because logos seem pretty straight-forward.

It doesn’t seem like you’d have a lot of variation.

But, if you scroll through this list, you still find it.

As of this writing, I see some unique things like “mascot logo design”, “minimal logo design”, and “vintage logo design”. Keep scrolling and you’ll see “modern logo design”, “luxury fashion logo design”, “hand drawn logo design” and others.

That’s quite a bit of variation for something so straight-forward.

I wouldn’t have immediately thought of most of this. But, looking at the numbers… the “mascot logo design” services has 790 units sold. The vintage and minimal logo design services both have 1k+ units sold.

If you total the modern and minimalist listings, you’re beyond even that.

So, people are buying these niche services.

Even more than that, the trends become pretty obvious. Scroll just a bit through this list and you’ll see “minimalist” and “modern” and are everywhere… and a lot of units are being sold for those kinds of logos.

So, if you’re a logo designer…

Consider using the words “modern” and “minimalist” in your service offers.

And then, just use all of this to brainstorm and figure out what services you could offer.

Finally, then, we have:

Product Listing

The section to pay attention to here is the “Compare Packages” section. This flat-out GIVES you the tiers for each freelance service and what’s in them. Transparency, resolution, vector, source file, revisions, etc, etc.

So, no need to guess about the details of each tier.

It’s listed right here.

And, what’s really interesting is these tend to standardized across sub-categories, but different for different sub-categories. So, logo design and article writing have two different sets of “features” in their packages.

But, the logo design services have the same features.

The article writing services have the same features.

What does that tell you?

It tells you these are the things that Fiverr and its sellers have figured out over the years matter to clients. The common questions they’re going to ask. And, the bare minimum they most cover in order to give clients the info they need to make decisions.

Valuable intel for you.

At a minimum, you should include the same for YOUR services.

So, there you go.

As you can now see, Fiverr is a great tool for digging deep into your market and figuring out exactly what services to offer and how to construct your packages to be appealing to potential clients.

Later,

John
