A Guide to Using Kalp Studio Explorer

Kalp Studio Explorer is a powerful blockchain explorer that provides detailed insights into transactions, blocks, and smart contracts on the Kalp Chain. Whether you're a developer, blockchain enthusiast, or user looking to track transactions, the Kalp Studio Explorer offers a user-friendly interface for easy navigation. This guide will walk you through the platform's key features and how to maximise its capabilities.

Overview of Kalp Studio Explorer

The home screen of Kalp Studio Explorer provides a snapshot of the current blockchain status. It displays the number of blocks, transactions, and deployed smart contracts on the Kalp Chain Testnet. This overview helps users quickly assess network activity and health.

In the top right corner, you can see that we are monitoring everything on the KALP Blockchain and the Testnet Network.

Before diving further, let’s look at the key metrics on the homepage.

  • Blocks: The total number of blocks currently on the blockchain. In the image, we see 5,526 blocks.
  • Transactions: The number of transactions processed on the chain. The current count is 6,010, indicating a healthy level of activity.
  • Smart Contracts: This metric shows the number of deployed smart contracts, which is 343 in this example.

Exploring Transactions and Blocks

Kalp Studio Explorer allows users to delve deeper into individual transactions and blocks. Here's how we can navigate through this information:

Viewing Transactions

To view recent transactions, go to the Transactions tab. You will find a list of transaction IDs along with their associated blocks, smart contract addresses, and timestamps. This tab helps users verify the status of specific transactions and track their progress on the blockchain.

  • Transaction ID: A unique identifier for each transaction. Clicking on the ID will provide detailed information about the transaction.
  • Blocks: The block number associated with the transaction, indicating where it is stored in the blockchain.
  • Smart Contracts Address: This field shows the smart contract address involved in the transaction, if applicable.
  • Timestamp: Displays the date and time when the transaction was processed.

Viewing Blocks

In addition to transactions, users can explore individual blocks by navigating to the Blocks tab. You can see details like Transaction ID, Blocks, Smart Contract Address, and Time Stamp within each block.

Using the Search Feature

The search bar in the Kalp Studio Explorer is versatile, allowing users to find information using various parameters like transaction IDs, block numbers, and smart contract addresses. This feature simplifies the process of locating specific data on the blockchain.

Search Feature

Search by Transaction ID

To find details about a transaction, select Transaction ID from the dropdown menu in the search bar and enter the ID. The explorer will retrieve and display all relevant details.

Search by Block Number

The Block number can also be used to find all the relevant transaction details about a particular block.

Search by Address

You can also search using a wallet or contract address. This feature is useful for tracking all transactions related to a specific user or smart contract.

Understanding the Graphs

The home screen also features dynamic graphs that visualise blockchain activity over different periods (1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year). These graphs help users monitor trends in transactions and block creation over time.

  • Transaction Graph: This graph shows the number of transactions processed within the selected time frame, providing insights into high or low activity periods.

Transaction Graph

  • Block Graph: Similar to the transaction graph, this visualises the number of blocks added to the blockchain over the chosen time frame.
