⚫ Application Discovery Service Agentless Collector now supports Amazon Linux 2023

⚫ Since Amazon Linux 2023 offers long-term support with access to the latest Linux security updates which includes,

⚫ The Agentless Collector is deployed as a virtual appliance within an on-premises data center, allowing one install to monitor hundreds of servers.

⚫ With the Agentless Collector, configure the discovery tool in a matter of minutes.

⚫ This data can then be leveraged in AWS Migration Hub or AWS Database Migration Service to explore recommended Amazon EC2/RDS instances.

⚫ What is Amazon Linux 2023:
♾️ It is a general-purpose rpm-based Linux distribution.
♾️ Amazon Linux 2023 AMIs and container images bundled with specific version by default.

⚫ Some of features of AL2023:
♾️ Each release of major versions consisting of standard support (2 yrs), and maintenance (3 yrs).
♾️ Preconfigured security policies for common industry guidelines.
♾️ Frequently receives minor version updates during standard support phase.
♾️ By default, typical hardening features are enabled.

⚫ Know about Agentless collector:
♾️ It collects OS, no. of CPUs, amount of RAM, database metadata, & performance metrics.
♾️ Supports data fetch from VMware VMs, database & analytics servers.
