AWS Cost Management now provides purchase recommendations for Amazon #DynamoDB reserved capacity

⭕ #AWSCostManagement now provides purchase recommendations for Amazon #DynamoDB reserved capacity

⭕ DynamoDB reserved capacity allows you to save up to 77% compared to provisioned capacity pricing in exchange for a usage commitment over a one or three-year term.

⭕ With these new purchase recommendations, you can make informed purchases of DynamoDB reserved capacity in minutes, making it even easier to optimize your DynamoDB spend.

⭕ AWS Cost Explorer recommendations includes:
1️⃣ Amazon EC2
2️⃣ Amazon RDS
3️⃣ Amazon Redshift
4️⃣ Amazon ElastiCache
5️⃣ Amazon OpenSearch
6️⃣ Amazon MemoryDB
7️⃣ And Amazon DynamoDB reserved capacity as well.

⭕ Most importantly, Cost Explorer automatically analyzes customers DynamoDB usage and generates recommendations to cover provisioned capacity with reserved capacity at a discounted rate.

⭕ In addition to that customers can customize the recommendation parameters, such as term length and historical usage period, to ensure they align with their own organization’s financial goals as well

⭕ Key considerations to purchase reserved capacity is
✅ Designate a Single-Region
✅ DynamoDB Standard table class
✅ Quantity of Read and Write Capacity Units(Not rWCUs)
✅ Reservation for 1 or 3 year term

Key note for Pricing :
✅ Reserved capacity is a billing feature to offer a discounted price and its has no impact on the performance or availability.
✅ Any throughput excess of reserved capacity usage is billed at standard rates.
