Architecture and Technical Stack:

The solution is delivered as a standalone application hosted on SAP Build Work Zone within the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). The backend is built using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with Node.js services, while the frontend UI leverages SAP Fiori Elements and UI5 web components served through the HTML5 App Repository.

1. The user launches the Release Testing Application from SAP Build Work Zone.
2. App Router forwards the request to the HTML5 App Repository to load the front-end UI of the application.
3. App Router triggers authentication and obtains an access token from SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS).
4. App Router forwards the authenticated request to the backend CAP OData service through a configured SAP Destination.
5. Destination service connects the CAP-based backend with SAP SuccessFactors OData APIs for reading and validating module data.
6. CAP backend identifies and triggers test scenarios based on selected modules, SuccessFactors metadata, and test configuration.
7. CI/CD pipeline executes automated test scenarios from the GitHub repository through the connected cloud infrastructure.
8. Test results, logs, and execution details are returned to the UI and optionally stored in the SAP Application Logging Service.
