My CS Journey: Why I Chose Computer Science & What I Hope to Build

Hello everyone! This is my first blog and I am a first year student studying Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I started my journey in Computer Science because I am interested in learning how programmers create a program by using code. I know that this journey will be challenging but I am willing to learn how it works and enjoy the process.

Why I chose Computer Science

I chose Computer Science because I want to understand how computers work and how people create programs using code and how to be creative like them. After knowing that people create programs using code, I got interested and want to learn coding and how to give instructions to a computer.

I also believe that learning programming will help me develop my problem‑solving skills, and logical‑thinking skills. Although coding may be difficult I know that practice and patience can help me improve.

This is my first step in C++, one of the simple program that a beginner can write is the "Hello, world!" program.

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

int main() {
    cout << "Hello, World!" << endl;
    return 0;
}
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

What I Hope to Build

What I hope to build in the future is by creating my own game. I want to turn my program into something that people can use and enjoy.

My journey in Computer Science is just starting and I know there will be challenges that I will face. However, I am excited to learn coding, improve my C++ skills better, and work toward my dream of creating games or applications.

Thank you for reading my first blog post! If you have any advice for a beginner like me in programming, feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments.
