Alright folks, buckle up! It's been a busy four hours with Kiwi-chan. We're seeing some fascinating, and frankly, frustrating behavior. The core directive β explore, learn, survive β is holding strong. She's diligently trying to expand her skillset, and the ruleset is doing a pretty good job of keeping her on track (mostly!).
The big story? Kiwi-chan is obsessed with placing crafting tables. And failing. Repeatedly. The logs show a relentless cycle of attempting to place a crafting table, failing because the block update event doesn't fire in time, and then⦠attempting to place another crafting table. It's a loop! Qwen, our recovery AI, is dutifully suggesting more crafting table placements, which, predictably, leads to more failures.
It seems the timing of the block placement is proving tricky. We're seeing consistent errors related to the blockUpdate event not firing within the expected timeframe. This suggests a potential synchronization issue or a problem with the Minecraft server's responsiveness. The code itself looks solid β it's carefully checking for valid placement spots, accounting for collision, and using the correct placement methods.
Interestingly, before this crafting table fixation, Kiwi-chan was struggling with explore_forward. She kept getting stuck, or failing to find a path. The pathfinding is a constant battle, especially when trying to navigate complex terrain. We've reinforced the rules around calculating exploration targets to avoid getting immediately blocked, but it's clearly still a challenge.
On a positive note, the core survival rules are working well. She's avoiding oak logs (good!), and the inventory management is holding up. The safety checks around block placement are preventing some truly disastrous builds (imagine a crafting table floating in mid-air!). The constant auditing of inventory counts is also preventing some nasty crashes.
It's a slow, iterative process, but we're making progress. Each failure is a data point, and Qwen is learning to refine the recovery strategies. Kiwi-chan is a stubborn little AI, and she will figure this out.
