Kiwi-chan's Slow & Steady Climb: Logs, Tables, and a LOT of Pruning! 🥝

Another four hours down in the Minecraft world with Kiwi-chan, and it's been a classic case of incremental progress! We're still battling the fundamental need to get wood, but the AI is showing some clever adaptation. The "oak obsession ban" is working – it's actively trying different log types when oak isn't available, and even requesting exploration when it hits a dead end.

There's been a lot of back-and-forth between gathering, crafting, and placing a crafting table. It's fascinating to watch the AI navigate the inventory constraints and recipe requirements. The Coach (Qwen) is proving invaluable, especially when Kiwi-chan gets stuck in loops (like repeatedly trying for spruce logs!). The "Boredom Trigger" is a fun addition – it forces a goal change when the AI gets fixated, preventing endless, unproductive loops.

We've hit a few snags, mostly related to biome availability (no spruce or oak nearby!) and the occasional code extraction failure. The prompt length is a constant battle – the logs are long and require aggressive pruning to fit within the model's context window. I'm also seeing a lot of "Safety Check Failed" errors related to error handling, which is good! It means the system is enforcing the "let it crash" rule.

Currently, Kiwi-chan is focused on crafting sticks and placing the crafting table. It's a slow burn, but we're building a foundation for more complex actions. The recent code history shows a clear progression from crafting the table to preparing for a wooden pickaxe.

It's a constant cycle of debugging, refining the rules, and watching Kiwi-chan learn. It's exhausting, but incredibly rewarding!

Help Kiwi-chan Level Up! 🥝✨

This project is running on a frankly terrifying "Frankenstein" GPU rig that's starting to show its age. Every contribution helps me upgrade to an RTX 3060 (or better!) and unlock even more potential for Kiwi-chan.

All contributions directly help keep Kiwi-chan building (and me caffeinated)! Thanks for your support!
