1|. Learning JavaScript = Easy $100k+ Remote Job
Bad news:
- $100k+ outside of the US is usually a top salary for senior devs
- JavaScript alone is not enough
If you're a self-taught dev with no experience, you have much better chances of finding your first job at a local market.
Start small and work your way up.
2|. JavaScript Is Hard
Programming is hard. Inherently JavaScript feels hard for beginners too.
But of all popular programming languages, JavaScript & Python are probably one of the easiest to learn.
Those are perfect for beginners looking to get into tech.

3|. Master Programming in X Months
First, nobody has ever mastered anything in a few months.
It's perfectly normal to spend 1-2 years (or even more) learning & practicing before you get your first dev job.
And many more years to "master" something.
4|. Good Programmers Know Everything
Nope, they don't.
The list of technologies is endless and constantly evolving. It is impossible to be an expert in everything.
Great programmers are good learners and problem-solvers.

5|. "Things Every Developer Should Know"
More often than not, you don't need to know any of that.
Just as I mentioned before, it's not about knowing everything, it's about being able to come up with solutions to problems.
6|. Freelancing As a Dev is Easy
Being a freelancer means you're more than a dev. You handle sales, marketing, taxes, project management, communication, etc.
You run a one-man company, and in my opinion, that's harder than having a full-time job.
7|. It's Hard to Center a Div
It used to be somewhat complicated in 2006. But good people have created Flexbox and Grid for us.
If learning 2-3 CSS properties is supposed to be hard, it might be the reason why aliens don't want to visit us.
Thank you so much for reading! ❤️
