Starting My Journey in Computer Science 💻

Hi! I'm a first-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science student who is currently learning programming and exploring the world of technology. I'm using this platform to document my progress, share what I learn, and improve my skills as I work toward becoming a developer.

Why I Chose Computer Science

I've always been interested in technology and how it works. From using applications on my phone to browsing websites and playing games, I wanted to understand more than just how to use them. I wanted to learn how they are built.

What I'm Learning So Far

As I continue my journey in Computer Science, I'm learning how to write code and understand how each instruction works. One of the programming languages I'm currently practicing is C++. Here's a simple example of displaying a message on the screen:

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

int main () {
    cout << "Hello, World!" << endl;
    return 0;
}
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

This is one of the basic programs that helped me become familiar with C++ syntax. I'm still learning, and I know that making mistakes is part of the process. With more practice and patience, I hope to become more confident in writing programs and solving problems through code.

My Goals as a Future Developer

  • Improve my coding and problem-solving skills.
  • Build a portfolio that shows my progress.
  • Connect with other programmers and learn from their experiences.

Conclusion

I'm excited to continue learning and improving my programming skills one step at a time. Since I'm still a beginner, I'd appreciate any tips or advice from experienced developers. What advice would you give to someone just starting to learn coding? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
