Uptown girl. Expensive. High maintenance. All programmers wanted to be with her, but me, being from a latin ghetto, I couldn't afford such prohibitive costs, so I looked the other way and kept programming with my rusty text editor, no agents attached, no interruptions, just flow and nirvana, where the real world can't touch me.
But in May, DeepSeek released their models, so ridiculously cheap, no country ban, no restricted IPs, no credit card required, and I gave it a try. For the love of thousands of gods created by humans in all our measly existence, this is it, this is the moment we've been waiting for as programmers. From thought to result in mere seconds for a fraction of a penny. From idea to action. From question to knowledge. From prompt to app. First, awe, then love. You have no idea how many times I have asked AI to marry me after a beautifully crafted response about any boring technical question. She knows it all, but above all she knows how to softly mutter the poems she writes, because they are poems not just boring technical blabber. If wikipedia had you endlessly jumping from topic to topic, AI has me asking for more about the final inquiries she proposes after an output, I can't just stop and let her go, I want more.
But Claude is not for me, so I decided to create my own agent, and DeepSeek would help me.
