Keeping Faces Recognisable in AI Zombie Couple Videos

Disclosure: this post comes from the team behind Zombie Couple Video.

The most common complaint about AI zombie videos is that the undead version no longer looks like your partner. The good news is that a few prompt habits fix most of it. Here is what works in practice.

Name each person and keep the labels

Refer to the two references as PERSON A (the survivor) and PERSON B (the one who turns), and repeat those labels in every shot. Vague words like "the man" or "she" give the model room to swap faces between frames.

Keep the zombie look light

Pale grey skin, dark veins around the eyes and torn, dusty clothes are enough. Heavy rot, missing features or masks erase the likeness. Adding a line that asks the model to keep face shape, hairstyle and build exactly as in the reference helps hold the resemblance.

Ban gore explicitly

Add "no blood, no gore". Some models add wounds by default, and graphic clips are more likely to be limited on social platforms, which can hurt reach.

Time every shot

Write exact durations. A 15-second clip might look like this: 0 to 4 seconds for the turn, 4 to 7 seconds for the raised weapon lowering, 7 to 9 seconds for the embrace, and 9 to 15 seconds for a warm memory. If the shot times do not add up to the clip length, the model stretches the action into slow motion.

Avoid slow words

"Slowly", "staggers" and "slow motion" drag the whole clip. Use "steps forward" for the approach and "in under half a second" for the rush.

Make the cut hard

Ask for a hard cut from the same pose into the memory, with warm golden light and smiling faces. The contrast carries the emotion better than a slow dissolve.

Or skip the prompt work

If writing prompts and re-rolling clips is not your thing, a two-photo Halloween video tool does the job for you. Zombie Couple Video takes two photos and returns a finished 15-second, 720p clip with audio and the story already built in. It costs $6.90 per video, or $24.90 for five.

Copy-ready examples and a photo checklist are on the AI zombie couple video maker site if you want to compare the two approaches side by side.
