Hell yeah — I’ve been using React Three Fiber for a while now and it’s honestly one of the most enjoyable ways to work with 3D in the browser. The ecosystem has gotten really solid too, especially for building interactive scenes and game-like UIs.
One thing I kept running into though was UI layering (HUDs, overlays, menus) on top of R3F scenes. CSS works, but it starts to feel a bit disconnected from the scene itself.
I actually ended up building a small tool called AnchorDOM to experiment with a more game-engine-style UI layout system (fixed resolution, anchoring, etc.). Still early, but it’s been fun to work with alongside R3F.
Curious how others here are handling UI on top of their scenes—pure CSS, or something more structured?
