Register for Twitter Easily with Email, No Phone Number Needed!

Preparations Before Registration

  • Download the Twitter App
    • Apple Users: You'll need an overseas Apple ID, so it's best to prepare this in advance.
    • Android Users: You can download the app directly from Google Play or a third-party platform, quick and easy!
  • Registration Method You can register using a phone number or email, but many people encounter issues when using a phone number, such as not receiving the verification code or encountering errors! Therefore, I recommend using an email address to register for Twitter, as it has a higher success rate. For example, I use GetMX Domain-Email, which supports receiving international emails. The free version is sufficient and allows for batch email creation, making it ideal for those needing multiple accounts. Services like Gmail or Outlook might not receive Twitter's verification emails, or the emails might end up in the spam folder.

The Complete Registration Process

Step 1: Open the Twitter Website
Visit the Twitter website using your browser and click on the "Sign Up" button.
Step 2: Choose Email Registration
On the registration page, you'll see two options: sign up with a phone number or with an email. Choose "Sign up with email" and enter your prepared GetMX Domain-Email address.
Step 3: Fill in Basic Information

  • Username: It's advisable to use a combination of letters and numbers (e.g., Tom_2023) and avoid special characters.
  • Password: At least 8 characters, including letters, numbers, and symbols to ensure account security. Step 4: Verify Your Email After submitting your registration details, Twitter will send a verification email to your GetMX Domain-Email. Open your email, find the verification code sent by Twitter, and enter it to complete the verification. Step 5: Complete Your Profile Once registered, it's recommended to follow 5-10 users of interest (like your favorite celebrities, bloggers, or news media), upload a profile picture, and fill in your bio to make your account appear more genuine. This not only enhances the credibility of your account but also enriches your Twitter experience.

Post-Registration Notes

1. Avoid Frequent Switching of Networks or Devices
Twitter places high importance on account security. Frequent IP or device changes might lead the system to flag your account for unusual activity, potentially resulting in a ban. Therefore, it's advisable to use Twitter on a fixed device and network environment.
2. Protect Your Account Security

  • Bind a Phone Number (Optional): Although I recommend using an email for registration, adding a phone number can enhance your account's security. Go to account settings to add a phone number.
  • Enable Two-Step Verification: Activate two-step verification in your account settings to protect your account even if your password is compromised. 3. What to Do If You Encounter Problems?
  • Not Receiving Verification Emails: First, check your spam folder. If it's still not there, try using a different email (like GetMX Domain-Email) to register again.
  • Account Banned: If your account is unfortunately banned, you can resolve it through Twitter's official appeal channel (link provided: https://help.twitter.com/forms/general?subtopic=suspended). You'll need to provide account information and relevant proofs and wait patiently for Twitter's customer service to handle your case.

How to "Nurture" Your Account After Registration?

After completing the registration, it's advisable to "nurture" your account for a week. Spend time each day browsing tweets and liking posts, but avoid rushing to post ads or perform frequent operations! Here are some tips for nurturing your account:

  1. Daily Login: Keep your account active, but avoid frequent operations.
  2. Follow Popular Accounts: Follow some well-known bloggers, news media, or areas of interest to increase your account's credibility.
  3. Appropriate Interaction: Like and retweet some posts, but don't overdo it to avoid being flagged as a bot by the system.
  4. Avoid Sensitive Content: Do not post information, as it can easily lead to multiple reports and restrictions or bans by Twitter for not conforming to community rules.

How to Resolve the "This Phone Number Cannot Be Used for Registration" Error on Twitter

If you cannot register a Twitter account using your phone number, it might be due to the following reasons:

  1. Incorrect Phone Number Entered: Ensure your phone number is entered correctly, including the international dialing code.
  2. Mobile Carrier Issues: If your phone number is correct, you might also try using a different phone number for registration.
