Everything is about people

At LimaCharlie, we are building a world where people and organizations can realize their full potential without compromising security along the way. We believe that it’s best to leave security in the hands of security professionals while enabling them with powerful tools to do what they can do best. For us, these are not just words. It’s a core belief that guides everything we do.

Security is about people. It’s people that make the security community so open and ready to help one another. Whenever you have a question or need any advice, you can be sure that asking it on Twitter, Reddit, Slack, Discord or any other media will get somebody’s attention. People in the cybersecurity space always take care of others.

Many of the best cybersecurity podcasts, open-source projects, and threat feeds are run by volunteers driven to give back and share what they know. At LimaCharlie, we use many of these technologies - WireGuard, Atomic Red Team, and Sigma, to name a few. LimaCharlie itself has evolved from an open-source project, and we still maintain a lot of that ethos.

*Announcing support of the open-source community *

As one of LimaCharlie’s co-founders likes to say, “those who can - should, and success without integrity is a failure”.

LimaCharlie is an open platform, the one that doesn’t require anyone to go through multiple demos and sales calls to get access to the product. There are no minimums and no contracts to sign. This approach democratizes access to the best security tooling and de-risks starting IR/MSSP/tech businesses for security entrepreneurs. It gives a platform to learn security for students and young professionals and allows folks who want to host CTF competitions.

Giving back and supporting our community is critical, and we want to do even more of it. Today, we are excited to announce our decision to sponsor two open-source projects: Phishing Database & Ultimate Nginx Bad Bot blocker.

Phishing Database type: embedded-entry-inline id: 1AKmF0HodSzf7iw6dMrWmP

Phishing Database provides phishing domains, URLs, and threats databases updated hourly. The project highlights the importance of good data that security professionals can rely on. Read more about the project on Github or follow the Twitter account.

The work of the community, and Mitchell Krog who started these two projects, is simply outstanding.

We are excited to give back & to support people shaping the future of cybersecurity.
