Hey DEV Community!
I've been building Schema Weaver Data Explorer, and I'd love to get it in front of developers who work with PostgreSQL.
The idea is to make exploring database data easier, whether you're investigating an issue, looking for patterns, or trying to answer a business question.
Here's what you can do with it:
- Ask Resona AI questions about your data in natural language and let it investigate by executing queries.
- Explore tables, filter records, inspect column statistics, and turn your findings into interactive charts.
- Generate reports and presentations from your analysis instead of manually piecing everything together.
There's also a local PostgreSQL connector, so you can connect databases accessible from your machine, including localhost and private-network databases. Your database credentials stay on your machine.
Don't have a database ready? That's fine.
A demo PostgreSQL database is already connected. You can open Data Explorer and start experimenting without setting up a database or installing the connector first.
Try asking questions such as:
- Which customers have the highest order values?
- Are there duplicate records or unusual values in this dataset?
- What trends can you find in the data?
- Can you visualize the results and summarize the findings?
Use the demo to explore the features and see whether the results are actually useful to you.
I'd appreciate your honest feedback.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from PostgreSQL developers:
- What works well, and what feels frustrating?
- What would you expect a tool like this to do that it currently doesn't?
- Would this fit into your workflow, or would you still prefer your existing tools?
I'm building this to solve real problems, so specific criticism is much more useful than a simple thumbs-up.
