What should I learn to do backend?

Hello, I'm lunix, a front end web developer, (HTML, CSS and basic JS )

I recently started learning python and then expand to django so i can do backend.

am i in the right path? should i stop and learn javascript? any help is highly appreciated.

If you like writing backend by python and you like django framework, then there is nothing wrong. But if you want to write frontend & backend by same programming language then switch to nodejs. You can try to build backend by python and after that try to build by nodejs, after that you can decide which one you like more. There is no wrong and right here!
