There'll be a Part Two - about how regular polyhedra: your classic cube, dodecahedron, tetrahedron even - could also be seen as very rough approximations of a sphere, and could serve as a basis for more detailed models. Not sure when, these things tend to take forever to conceptualize and edit into a semi-coherent whole that doesn't run in circles (I hope). I also have a few things to try.
