Introduction

Hi, I'm Matt from Produce. I no longer work in produce, but if you've ever worked in a grocery store, you know that produce is the best department.

Produce life.

I recently graduated with a CS degree from a state school in New York and have gotten a part-time web development job at a local startup.

I write javascript all day and zap bugs or duct tape last minute additions to a soon-to-be-released MVP. I like to listen to music and code on my Macbook Pro sitting on a beanbag chair in an open office setting like a real millennial.

Waking up each morning for work is usually exciting save some days where I left work the previous day completely at a loss on where to go to next with my current ticket. Mostly those days end great as I'm able to figure it out during the day.

Our product is going to be refactored soon to be written in React with (hopefully) Mongo on the back. I took Brian Holt's React course provided by Frontend Masters. If anyone is interested in learning React, that is a great place to start. Brian Holt is fun to listen to and knows React very well. He also hates semi-colons with a passion. Now I do, too;

In the next 5 years I hope to be a full time web developer working on a fast-paced team building something people will use. I'm en route.

In my spare time I play a lot of Rocket League (on Steam), longboard, drum, and take pictures. I also am a big fan of happy hour.

I actually have no idea what the site even is, I'm just here for the free stickers... but I never miss a chance to talk about myself so, voila.
