Atlassian Team '26 Europe ran at RAI Amsterdam from 6 to 8 October, with Partner Accelerate on the Monday before, and this is our recap. Atlassian announced a lot. Its Service Collection roundup labels 23 items GA, Open Beta or Closed EAP, and 16 of them say GA. Outside it, most of what we tracked carries a beta, early access, rollout or Soon label.

Wednesday's Founder Keynote ended abruptly: the power went out right at the end, around the 90-minute mark by Computer Weekly's count. Thursday's Closing Keynote we can't tell you much about yet. We have no photos or notes from Thursday, and we couldn't find anything Atlassian has published about what was said there.

If you're an admin and you take one thing from this: check the status label before you plan around a feature.

Part 1 is the hub with the dates and times, and part 5 is Mihai's view of the Founder Keynote from the hall.

The recap in six points

  1. Of the 11 announcements on our part 4 status board, only Atlassian MCP carries a clear generally available label.
  2. The Service Collection roundup labels 23 items GA, Open Beta or Closed EAP: 16 GA, 3 Open Beta and 4 Closed EAP.
  3. The Strategy Collection post labels 5 of its 6 items Open Beta. The sixth is Atlassian MCP again.
  4. Atlassian describes Insights as GA in one post and as a phased rollout in another.
  5. The Closing Keynote recordings are due on 12 October (11 October in the FAQ), and until then Atlassian's session page is the only account we have.
  6. If you still run Opsgenie, the roundup says its support will conclude on 5 April 2027.

Atlassian Team '26 Europe highlights in one list

Here are the headline items from the week. I've kept the exact words Atlassian uses for each status. I wouldn't schedule around anything labelled Closed EAP or Soon yet. Beta can mean you can try it now (Artifacts is "in beta" and "available to all paid plans"), but it can still change before GA. And an open beta can reach sites gradually, the way Code Context is doing. You'll see more than one GA in the table. DX AI Measurement and the Service Collection rows weren't among the 11 rows on our part 4 board. Insights was on it, but it carries two labels, so we count Atlassian MCP as the one clear GA.

Announcement Atlassian's status words Source
Atlassian MCP "generally available now" MCP post, 7 Oct
AMP, the Agentic Multiplayer Protocol "AMP begins rollout today" founder update, 7 Oct
Local EU AI inference "rolling out" same founder update
Rovo Work, a new mode in Rovo Chat no status given platform post, 7 Oct
Agent accounts and a non-human identity inventory "Soon" same platform post
Atlassian Artifacts "is in beta", "available to all paid plans" support doc
Code Context "gradually rolling out to paid Atlassian customers through open beta" AI-native SDLC post, 7 Oct
DX AI Measurement solution "now generally available" same SDLC post
Agent Sessions and Interactive PR Reviews in Loom "in closed EAP" same SDLC post
Insights "phased rollout starting after Team '26 Europe", and "Insights (GA)" Insights post, 7 Oct, and the Service Collection roundup in the next row
Agents in JSM, Workforce Management, Surveys in JSM GA Service Collection roundup, 8 Oct
Support for up to 100,000 agents per site GA same roundup
Solution Composer, Incident Command Center Open Beta same roundup
Strategic Intelligence in Focus, Strategic Planning in Focus, Human and AI Capital Management in Talent, Workforce Skills, Agentic updates Open Beta Strategy Collection post, 8 Oct

The dates in the table are Amsterdam time. Atlassian's blog shows Pacific time, so some of the 7 October posts display October 6.

I'd read the two Insights labels together as GA reaching sites in phases. Either way, check your own site before you promise it to anyone. Part 4 has every status with the admin switches we found on our test org.

What we learned at Team '26 in Amsterdam

Most of what follows comes from Mihai's notes from the week.

Monday was Partner Accelerate. For Mihai, the most important part was meeting solution partners and other Forge app builders, among them people from Adaptavist, Opus Guard and Ricksoft. We introduced LeanZero to people with our new QR code share feature. Part 2 has the Forge and partner programme details.

On Tuesday we went to Rob Hean's workshop on Jira Service Management queues for agent triage, and Mihai called it excellent. Sentiment came up there too. Sentiment analysis marks a request Positive, Neutral or Negative, and it needs Premium or Enterprise with AI turned on. Afterwards we checked that Sentiment = Negative is valid JQL on our two test sites, so a queue can filter on it. Neither site had any sentiment values yet. Part 3 has the details.

We also met Kantega SSO, SmartBear and its new BearQ, Spirit Experts, and VMotion IT Solutions, who make Cardinal Ruler.

Wednesday was the Founder Keynote. Mihai's favourite part was the Jira board with agent sessions on it. It shows which agent is working on what, and dragging a session onto the board creates a work item. Atlassian says Agent Sessions is "in closed EAP", so don't plan around it yet. Mihai liked AMP too. His honest summary was lots of Rovo, not much wow, but progress. Then the power went, and from where he sat no presentation ran for about an hour and a half afterwards.

We spent a lot of Wednesday with Atlassian's people on site, talking about Forge and walking them through our apps. The reception was good overall, and by the end of the day we had met a lot of interesting people :)

Then the braindates, the small attendee-run meetups. People sat down with us and gave us feedback on all three of our apps, CogniRunner, Sentinel Vault and LeanZero Management. Thank you to everyone who joined and came up with ideas. We shipped 5 Marketplace versions on Wednesday and Thursday: CogniRunner 7.3.0, 7.4.0 and 7.5.0, Sentinel Vault 7.1.0 and LeanZero Management 6.1.0. Some of that work was already in flight, and we can't map each fix to one conversation. CogniRunner 7.6.0 followed on Friday. In his notes on Wednesday, Mihai wrote that new stuff was coming to Sentinel Vault and CogniRunner.

Team '26 Europe Closing Keynote: What becomes possible

The Closing Keynote was scheduled for Thursday 8 October, 15:00 to 16:15 Amsterdam time, on the Main Stage. Atlassian's session page lists five speakers. They're Hannah Waddingham (Emmy Award winning actress and singer), Brian Duffy (Chief Revenue Officer, Atlassian), Amit Puntambekar (CTO, Reddit), Hilary Lanham (Head of Productivity Services, Lloyds Banking Group) and Mike Cannon-Brookes (CEO and Co-Founder, Atlassian).

It was billed in two parts. First came a customer panel. The page says "Through Lloyds Banking Group and Reddit, attendees will see two very different paths to the same destination". Then a fireside chat with Hannah Waddingham. The page doesn't say who hosted which part.

We have nothing of our own from Thursday, so this is only what Atlassian's pages say, and they don't agree on whether it was streamed. The revised livestream schedule for Thursday ends at 14:15 without it. The home page's 8 October livestream block names it, in a window that ends at 13:00.

The on-demand library says recordings start on 12 October, and the FAQ says 11 October. You'll need to register for everything except the Founder Keynote. I'd rather wait for the recording than guess what was said. Part 7, on Saturday 10 October, is about those recordings.

Our takeaways for Jira and Confluence admins

Here's what I'd check next week. If you still run Opsgenie, put 5 April 2027 in your calendar: the Service Collection roundup says "Opsgenie support will conclude on April 5, 2027." If you run Jira Service Management, I'd test the items marked GA above first: Agents in JSM, Workforce Management and Surveys in JSM.

If you use Atlassian MCP, open its permissions before your users find the new toolsets (part 4 shows where). My piece on Rovo agent permissions covers the agent side. For everything labelled open beta, closed EAP or Soon, write the label next to the feature in your roadmap and check it again when Atlassian updates it.

Mihai's notes from the week keep coming back to the people we met, and that's what I'd tell you too. You can read every announcement from home. The conversations only happened in Amsterdam. If you're already thinking about next year, Atlassian has set Team '27 for 20 to 22 April 2027 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. We couldn't find a European date yet.
