Hi Marc,

From what I gathered in your article, you make a number of claims that feel like what is your personal experience, but make it sound like something that applies to everyone.

I kind of understand the use of a clickbait title, but feel the absolute claims you make of what appears to me like nothing more than your personal experience does not provide a balanced view of reality.

For anyone new to the industry who ends up reading this, I worry your article sends the wrong message. The answer to whether a certain technology is right or wrong always depends on many factors. While you may write REST APIs that only you consume, others may write an API to allow millions of consumers to access it.

Spot on. This arrogant, narrow-minded post is not helpful

Distributed systems exist and drive the most important things we use every day. Sure if you're making a website for a small business or whatever making a distributed system may be over-engineering things but I wouldn't imagine Twitter would work well with an isomorphic TypeScript stack.
