Because the "ninja rockstar" recruiting indicates the following mindsets
Hype over substance. Terms like "Angular Ninja" or "React Rockstar" means nothing except the recruiter is trying to appear cool. This hype over substance could be part of the DNA of the organization. This is a typical affliction in newer start-ups.
Heroic programming is preferred over teamwork. The company may be populated with egotistical individuals who don't work well as a team. Or, it could mean that they want an individual to do the work of a team.
Unicorn hunters. The organization may be looking for someone that doesn't really exist (for example, an expert in web front ends and databases and embedded systems) or the semi-mythical 10X-er. They try to appeal to ego and will tend to get egotistical BS artists as applicants.

I couldn't have explain it better ...
I've worked with a few "semi-mythical" 10X-ers. They do exist. They are wow impressive. They pull down 7 or 8 digit incomes.
The unicorn hunters want to find one that will work for 5 digit incomes... good luck to them!
