Having your files in digital format carries such risk of unable to access it when badly needed. For instance, storing files on a cloud seems to be a good choice for not having the physical storage in your possession but has the highest risk of getting stolen through hacking, and worse case would be losing the access to your account. Files kept in our emails are threatened for the same reason. Moreover, having the physical storage doesn't mean it's flawless. As some external storage are mostly used yet cheap, it doesnt come with great span of usage on the other hand.
To mitigate such problems, having backup of files isn't new nowadays. As I have grown along with technology, anticipating digital problems is probably already a part of my usual routine whenever I use my devices or organize my files. Nonetheless, we can always be cautious enough and be responsible in accessing our accounts and protect it from posing threats. One option would be multifactor authentication that strengthens our account security and ensures to gather enough evidence before giving access on one's account.
