I am getting this error when I try to deploy the service. The selected task definition is not compatible with the selected compute strategy.
It seems to me it has to do with the instance type?
Also, it seems to me that the option m3.medium is no longer available and the service creation was renamed to service -> deploy

Can you double-check if you are using the FARGATE strategy instead of the EC2. The blog is designed for the EC2 strategy.
