Wanted to share an honest update on what I've been building because I think a lot of people here can relate.
I'm a full stack developer from Bangladesh. Two months ago I launched rayso.studio — a marketplace for Next.js + Sanity CMS templates. The idea was simple: build clean, production-ready templates for SaaS, restaurants, real estate and sell them to founders and businesses.
What I shipped in 2 months:
A free SaaS landing page template (Next.js + Sanity + Resend + Tailwind)
A restaurant website template
A real estate website template
A hotel & resort booking template (with Supabase for real availability logic)
The analytics after 2 months:
141 visitors this month
48% bounce rate
3m 23s average session duration
Top traffic: US (27%), Bangladesh (21%), India (19%)
Sales: $0
What I think went wrong:
Honestly I was so focused on building that I did almost zero marketing. I posted maybe 2-3 times total and thought traffic would just come. It didn't. The session duration tells me people who do land actually look around the product isn't the problem. It's that nobody knows it exists.
What I'm changing now:
Posting consistently on Reddit and Twitter
Submitting to directories (Uneed, Fazier, Peerlist)
Writing about what I build instead of just building
Starting direct outreach for client work in parallel
Why I'm posting this:
Not to promote I genuinely want feedback and to connect with people who've been through this. If you've built and sold templates or gone through the "great product, zero sales" phase I'd love to know what actually moved the needle for you.
Also happy to get roasted on the site if anything looks off - rayso.studio
Thanks for reading.
