Momen’s first line of code was written approximately six years ago—which now feels like a lifetime.
Compared to the year 2024, Momen has significantly "slowed down", and hopefully in a good way. This was a strategic choice. While I still vividly recall the excitement of launching our native AI agent builder and subscription support last year, we knew we had to address the elephant in the room.
Rebuilding the Foundation
Deep down, we have always been acutely aware of our platform's shortcomings—specifically the technical debt accumulated in the original design of our Domain Specific Language (DSL). In light of recent advancements in agentic AI, this legacy architecture was becoming a bottleneck.
Beyond the difficulties AI agents faced when building on Momen, we were also painfully aware of the "non-uniformities" that frustrated our human users. We knew the restrictions were unreasonable:
Inconsistent styling availability.
Inability for Actionflows to output arrays.
Frontend inability to directly consume agent array outputs.
Lack of exposed internal states (list counts, selection status).
Lack of support for enums.
These issues didn't just make the platform feel clunky; they stood in the way of our vision for "vibe nocoding" (full prompt-to-app generation).
So, we bit the bullet. We dedicated 2025 to revamping the platform's entire DSL—a massive "component" and "type" refactor. This effort is still underway, and if all goes well, it will see the light of day in Q1 2026 as a total Editor Overhaul.
Making AI Actually Useful
In 2025, in addition to the overhaul, we have also been working on building out our AI copilot and native app.
Our approach to AI remains pragmatic. We believe an agentic workflow is only as strong as its weakest link. Therefore, we tackled features piecemeal:
Database Builder: Constructs database for you, including all the relations between tables.
Knowledge Base: A generic helper armed with knowledge about Momen and your project.
Actionflow Code Block copilot: Generates code snippets on the fly within the editor.
AI Log Analyzer: So your logs no longer look like a mystery.
Our user interface copilot is currently under development, though we are experiencing and foresee a lot of difficulties.
On the mobile front, we have made significant strides toward building Native Apps directly on Momen. For iOS, data interaction, component styling, frontend actions, and push notifications are functional. Most importantly, the automatic package building pipeline is complete. We aim to release a beta trial in Q1 2026.
The Road Ahead
Most of our hard work in 2025 happened below the surface, invisible to users. But if you stick with us, 2026 will be the year you see the culmination of these efforts:
The Editor Overhaul: A smoother, uniform building experience.
Native Apps: True mobile deployment.
Vibe Nocoding: Full prompt-to-app capabilities.
Long story short: We finished building most of the engine in 2025, and 2026 is when we race.
