Hi,
Right now I am working on a new project: Aurora Forecast AI
It is a website for northern lights forecast.

I live in Gdansk, Poland. Sometimes we can see aurora here. Not often, but it happens. At first I just wanted to not miss it myself. So I made simple notifications for me. When KP index is high, when weather is ok, when there is a chance to see aurora.

Then I thought: maybe other people also need this. So now I am building a public website for everyone.

The idea is simple. You open your city page, check aurora chance, best time tonight, clouds and KP index. And you understand if it is worth going outside or not. Now it is very simple to check aurora forecast in Gdansk.

I am building it with Astro, Svelte, Tailwind, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Open-Meteo and NOAA data.

I want the site to be simple. No complicated charts first. Just clear answer: can I see northern lights tonight or not?

I will share more updates while building.
