The Part No One Talks About in a Cloud Career TransitionšŸ‘·šŸ”€ā˜ļø

I completed a 3-month course in cloud computing and networking in 2025, along with a Huawei certification. It was a solid starting point. More importantly, it helped me realize that this is something I genuinely want to pursue seriously.

But now that I’m actually in the transition phase, it feels very different from the course.

I’ve recently started working with Git and GitHub, and honestly, it’s a whole new world. At first, it looks simple. Then you dig a little deeper, and suddenly there are layers of concepts, commands, and workflows that take real time to understand. Every time I think I’ve figured something out, I discover there’s more underneath.

I’m not saying this as a complaint. I expected this.

What I didn’t expect is how rarely people talk about this phase. Most posts about cloud careers focus on the end result, the job, the success, the roadmap. But not enough people talk about the middle part, where progress feels slow, and you’re not sure how long it will take.

That’s where I am right now.

Still learning. Still figuring things out. Still moving forward, even if it’s not fast.

My goal is clear: land an internship and build real, hands-on experience. I know I’ll get there.

For now, I’ve set up this Dev.to profile to document the journey as it actually happens, not just the polished version of it.

If you’re somewhere in the middle of this process too, you’re not alone. Feel free to follow along.
