When most people think about automation, they usually focus on saving time.
That definitely happens.
But after automating more internal workflows recently, the biggest difference we noticed was actually operational clarity.
A lot of agency work is repetitive:
- lead updates
- onboarding
- follow-ups
- reporting
- notifications
- content scheduling
- CRM management
Individually these tasks don't seem huge.
But once multiple clients and projects start stacking up, the amount of manual work grows fast.
We started automating more of these systems using n8n and AI workflows.
Some examples:
- AI lead qualification
- automated onboarding
- Slack notifications
- CRM syncing
- AI email follow-ups
- reporting systems
The interesting part was how much smoother operations became afterward.
Things stopped getting missed.
Responses became faster.
Workflows became more consistent.
Instead of constantly managing repetitive admin tasks, the team could focus more on strategy and client work.
We also tested Zapier and Make during the process.
Zapier felt easiest initially.
Make had a great visual builder.
But for larger workflows and AI-heavy systems, n8n ended up giving us the most flexibility overall.
Curious what kinds of workflows others here are automating right now.
Especially interested in:
- AI systems
- onboarding flows
- reporting automations
- internal agency operations
